I viewed this car.
Looks lovely but not worth the money IMO.

Rusty sunroof area, not gen panels, no ariel , major cracked dash, not matching date stamped heavily wax oiled underside! Ect

Dealer dropped to £6500 with out haggling too! Shock drop

It's hard to say, what's underneath all the wax oil was my concern?????

The paint ect all looks nice but dash was horrid, panels went gen, didn't run right and tick over speeded up to help it ect
£5000 tops IMO, giving £3000 to make nice. He would probably take that too, but I wanted original

You been to see it??

Better ones out there! There's on In Kent coming up soon £10000 that seems a genuine car but it's £10000 he won't move! 56k, suppose to be all oe panels ect only mods are a stainless.

I'll keep my eyes out

im going for a ganda tomorrow wiv me dad to see if i can get him intrested in a classic fast ford, he,s not got a 10k budget though all we want is one that looks half right & can be driven to the odd show & not a rot box... was there any rot on it?

Bit grotty around the sunrood when you opened it ( it was very stiff to open BTW ) and theyre was that much wax oil on the underside, it could be hiding a multitude if sinns!??

If you can chip him down and arnt too bothered about non gen panels ect , you could make it nicer ( new dash, seat bolster ect ) and take your chances at whats under the waxoil.

Its been deffo restored on its body, and the dealers fitted new tank, suspension, exhaust ect due to it been layed up. Engine was silent enough, again new belts, service, Rad ect. Needs a new metering unit as wont idle and emmisons all over the place, so ticks over higher in order to pass test ( dealers words! )

Let me know how you get on pal

Dosent look original around the battery tray , love the standard exhaust , ride height , ambers , spots etc im sure it could be a nice dry day usable s1 if got for the right money , i hate waxoyl with a passion underneath i can never settle if a car has it incase its hiding something
