  • End of an era

Been informed today by my new employer I will be surplus to requirements within the next few months.

Absolutely shitting in my pants, I've been here 22 years and it scares me to death to have to go out into the big wide world and find a real job.

So naturally Cookie Monster Motorsport will be closing it's doors in a couple of months. I'm not sure if it will ever re-open so if anyone needs any bits n bobs then get in touch ASAP

    Cheers

Not good news Dave! I assume that as the employer is new, and you've been there 22 years, that the company you work for has been taken over? I'm sure something will come along though. I remember the panic when I got fired from my company job in 1979 - I went self employed after that, and have never looked back (or starved!) so keep your chin up, it'll all be OK in the end.

What do you do Dave? Maybe I forgot you put a little on here about what you do, where you live and what you want someone might have a lead for you. Just an idea and will probably come to nothing however you never know.

Sorry to hear this Dave. However, knowing the quality of your work and your very good persona in general, I have no doubt at all that you'll find your calling in something else very soon.

It's always a scary situation to be in, but as others have said it could be a blessing in disguise. I'm sure a man of your calibre won't be out of work for long though...

Not a nice situation to be in Dave however all will end up ok in the end.

Be scary for you as you have been there a very long time and will be hard to re ajust to someone else.

hopefully you will not have to travel too far to find work and im sure you will find work easy enough, good luck mate.

                              Dave.
