There are also "OZ", "Rally", "PT", "Z" etc. stamps next to the "Mg" and "DOW".

Thanx. I am "sure" its them.

So next question, how Are pepole refurb these? They Are abit worn in paint, and have been painted atleast once before. They came of a rallycar many years ago, so have lived a rallying life...

I am curently refurbing my 18" Chromodoras.
I did a lot of research and there are so many diferent thoughts.
Some people keep it simple as blasting and powder coating but I choosed the most complicated way as I think these are ultimate wheels and want to do proper job on them.
There is the guy overhere who already did a few mag sets and he'll also do mine.
The first and most important thing is that there is no cracks or micro cracks on the wheels. Mine are very little used and they have been stored with tyres for ages and holding pressure which is first good sign.
He'll blast them with some kind of plastic, check for micro cracks with some kind of liquid and than they go to chromating. Than they are ready for powder coating but i want them painted, he is using some 2K primer and than paint.
Whatever you do it is very important to use quality materials and do proper preparation otherwise the paint could peel of.

Thanx. Exactly what i was thinking. Heard allot say its enough to blast and powdercoat, but i think it defintly need cromating? Mag need all protection it can get, and i kind of think thats why so many crackes up, since most dont think its nessesary... my main problem is that i havent found any in Norway that can do it...
