    does anyone know where to get the small bit of foam that fits in the corner of the airbox ? i dont want to put a lump of sponge in there lol i did have a few spares at one time but gave them all away

      Never

      It seems to me to be made out of the same material as one of those old Pipercross foam filters. Maybe a call to those guys would help

        It also looks very similar to some of the pre-clean material on fish tank set ups.

          yep it is that sort of stuff, ill have a look in the shed at my fish filter stuff, normal sponge is too fine and i think that would block up straight away so something coarse is reqd

              There is a kind of small box section bit on the base that holds a bit of course sponge that's about 35 x 25 x 12mm - I'll get a pic the weekend if no one else has.

                  checked the fish filter stuff ive got and its not thick enough plus it looked a lot more porous as well

                      nope,that would probably just collapse and go soggy as soon as it got oil on it,it needs to be like a foam/sponge type material,yours is more like felt

                          I found something like plastic sponge, it is some kind of syntethic sponge.
                          Will go to garage later and take a pic, maybe that can help.
