Driving to get my car mapped again on the new turbo in the rain and found when having to brake ,brakes don't seem that great until you touched them twice is there a soft pad for them so they don't have to be hot to work

Sure it's not just the torrential rain Dave?
Know people with ceramics that have to do exactly the same in heavy rain.

Are you sure you dont have air in the system . The other thing that can cause that issue is the pistons retracting too far away from the disc. Perhaps a small warp or one of the springs inside the piston has gone soft or broken. ?
When you say touch them twice does it feel like you having to pump out the pads or is the peddle firm each time to press it? What turbo are you running now and how does the car feel. What power did you get out of it....ahh Just seens Marks post .

Ds2500 for fast road or ds3000 for track, i had the ds3000 in mine Dave on track but they are a hot working pad and eat discs.

                Dave.
