  • anyone done there own big wing sump?

    as title im after sizes info on holes etc on making a big wing sump for my escort have tig welder etc so that side no problem

        I have just had one done, the sump material welds badly, I had all the diff mounts reinforced as they can fail, had female BSP bosses to take JIC/AN to BSP male to male adapters in case thread gets damaged, also had the standard turbo drain modified so that braided host can be use, so less leaks.
        Cost more than others but most do not reinforce the diff mounts.

          It's ok for me as I can weld alloy so I'll have a go got a spare sump to play on ��

            Good luck, I had the sump ultrasonically cleaned and went to Pro Alloy and they struggled.

                The weld to new metal are easily done, the welds to the area around the upper side of the cross shaft housing the areas not shown in your picture.
                I will send Robert some pictures so he can put them up in his build thread.
