After You Have Registered

Please make sure that you have Verified Your Email address in The Registration Email Sent To You

New members will not be allowed to post messages until they visit a link that is sent to them in the email (Clicking on it) sent to them when they sign up.

If a user's account is not activated by the user visiting the link, it will remain in the 'Users Awaiting Activation' user group.
Please make sure that you haven't overlooked this email or make sure that it isn't in your spam folder. In the last two days I have manually set over 40 members to registered because this email hasn't been completed.
Looking forward to seeing you on the forum. Paul and the Team.

People can gain access to the Escort RS Cosworth Owner rooms if you are known by a moderator or have a referrer who is a well known user. If you do not have a referrer and your are not known to one of the moderators: Paul Ripley, Chas, Kelv, Franco or Mike Rainbird, then you need to pm or email any two of the three types of evidence of ownership to a moderator.

1. Picture
2. Chassis number
3. Registration number

Some Non Escort RS Cosworth Owners may be granted special permission to view the owner only areas as well, if they are well known enthusiasts and would also have to be approved by a moderator.

any chance of having to have a non hotmail type of account to register?I feel the people who join would be more genuine and traceble if the site gets the likes of simon johnson etc.

You may have a point there Phil......

Rippers 22-12-2008 10:59 AM

I think Hotmail has been the problem as the emails the forum send, indirectly come from my hotmail account.
Everytime I got an email from the forum it went to my junk mail untill I added it to safe, but even then every email that came through was still flagged as junk.. so the emails are now indirectly sent from my new email address paul.ripley@escortrscosworth.com and the junk mail flagging has stoppd already, so I just need to monitor how everyone else is getting on with it now, hopefully its sorted thou :top:

georgie1 22-12-2008 11:08 AM

it is now thanks to paul :top:

Bosch Man 22-12-2008 11:11 AM

paul are you sure it just wasnt my emails going to junk?

Rippers 22-12-2008 11:14 AM

Cool glad its sorted

Phil got yours fine :top:

You had the option to have a email sent when you get a message unchecked in your profile options
I sorted it and have sent you a pm let me know if you got the email

Registered users have the right to deny private message read receipts. its quite possible that they just chose to do this.

cossymad 12-02-2009 02:31 PM

I can get into the Resto Room, but at the bottom it says Member, not owner.
Not that I mind, but do you want proof.................or do you trust me?
I'd say ask Mike, but he'll lie and say I've got 1/2 a Cossy, and an XR3i!!!

Chris,
It states you are an Escort owner in your profile, so you trade status must just override this :).

Howdy, I'm not a current RS owner but I am trying to learn as much about them as I can. I am looking at eventually adding 1 to my stable so while I save I figured this would be a good place to learn :)
