Any Escort Cosworth owners on here from North America or the USA?
Hello all,
I am from Minnesota, USA and am a big European Ford nut. Currently building a '86 3 door Sierra Cosworth from the ground up. I've had to bring everything over in bits! What a pain! Here is where it sits today in primer:  I am considering bringing in an Escort Cosworth as a daily driver. Just wanted to get some feedback or talk to anybody that may have one in North America. It's a long shot, there are only reportedly 20 of them here. Here is the car I want to replace:

We've got a guy from Manitoba which I'd class as North America but doubt you'd agree!  (shipping terminology!!)...RE the daily drive, there is a few posts around about this sort of thing. Have a search.

Welcome to the forum mate, cool looking project you have there.
As far as Escorts in the states go I was led to believe they can only be imported if special circumstances apply.  is this true? Cant remember what the circumstances were now, but i think there were age constraints on the car also.Think one was... If you are in the us military and based abroad for x amount of time and purchase a car in that country you are allowed to bring it back to the states upon your return something like that, i think. Anyway good luck with it mate, there is plenty of lads on here who could advise you on having one as a daily
