  • petrol price on the up again

Read today that most mortoring organisations and supermarket chains are expecting petrol prices to hit betweem £1.11 and £1.15 by the second week in December, more in some locations. Plus, January 1st see's the VAT go back up to 17.5% so that will be another £2 on a car that has a 65 litre tank.

I think something at some point will have to give. Feel for the people who rely on their vehicles for a living, as this must eat heavily into operating profit along with other running costs.

Typical Britain with the taxes - born free but then taxed to the death and beyond.

What can we actually do about it?

We kicked up shit when it rose above £1, but now it's crept up no one has really cared.

people care alright but after the last fuel protests the government have made a few new rules to stop any more protests like last time, basically from what i've heard, if you are part of a protesst that actually prevents the flow of fuel(so to speak) then its more or less bye bye operator license - and you need one of those if you want to run wagons!

Sorry to hear that mate, have you considered selling the Escos? Depending on spec and condition (I don't know your car) you should clear half of your overdraft back which will be a lot better as you'll have less bank charges aswell!
