      you could always get the thermo housing machined out a little, you could then fit the bigger seal and the gap would look factory from the outside

        Is allitle gap a real problem? If it seals its okay i will put in mine one day to see how IT looks...

          deffo dont want a gap it would look like it wasnt assembled correctly dont want to mess with machinng stuff steve ,good dea but that would be a last resort

                          Messure mine original now. Its approx 2mm total when on stat.

                          Msd one is approx 4mm when on stat, so yes became some gap...

                            update,ive tried one of those places in the uk and asked them for a pic of the actual stat and not a library pic,they then wanted the reg no to cross check which i supplied,they got back to me saying there are 3 stats listed so wanted part numbers etc,i said just send me a pic of it! anyway that never happened so ive ordered from another place and will see when it arrives,lets hope its not another waste of cash

                              hooray! fits a treat,it comes without any seal at all so you need to reuse your old one if its not perished,thanks to all involved,one more problem sorted
