So the lower number ET the further the wheel sticks out.

I would go et10 as I don't think et15 really fill the arches enough. As for style it's all dependent on taste and colour of the car.

I have just gone from et15 to et0 as et15 sits way to far in on 8" with 225 tyres

Thanks Dave. So ET 10 up to 9” wide wheel.

Yes agree regarding taste etc. Spent ages searching for picture of different wheels on car etc.

A big difference between ET15 to ET10. Any pics of how it is now at ET10. Also what does the number represent. As lower the number the further the wheel stick out ?

Lower the number the further out the wheel sits.
you could probably get away with et -5(minus) on an 8" rim depending on tyre.
iam at et 0 using 15mm hubcentric spacers on et15 wheels

Before on et 15, you can see here how far in the front sits, the rear is equally as bad

But like i said above it all depends on how wide you go

It all depends on suspension, wheel width and tyre size.
But generally these have been suitable "guidelines"
                            8" width = ET15
                            8,5 width = ET18
                            9 width = ET20

Yes they can be pushed further out with lower offset, but it does all depend on more than the wheel.
I had 255/35-18 tyres on 9x18" ET20 wheel, not much room left to push much further out then.
But as Dan said above, 8x18" ET15 with 225/40-18 tyres can be pushed out a fair bit
With 4x108 PCD you havent got a great selection of wheels unless you go custom, costing a fair bit, but then the wheel manufacturer will normally ask for all sorts of measurements to ensure they fit.
