can folk who have a small t with aircon post their number off the fusebox please if its out the car or accessible, mine is 94ag14a073bab,im trying to find out if these models all use the same one or if diff ones can be used as nobody seems to know what the last 3 digits actually relate to and there are loads of variations across the escort range,im sure other ones must work ok but want to find out which before i buy one

Depends who repaired it I guess, I know of a couple that have been done and are still going strong years later.

Agreed though, new would be better long term with the expense you're going to on your resto. I'm sure someone on here mentioned that its only the non-aircon BT that's available now new. Could be wrong, someone is sure to know.

im not sure the aircon part actually makes a difference because when i retro fitted aircon to a previous car i used the existing fusebox and just fitted the relays as reqd into thebox,it woukd be good to find an expert on these

Replaced mine in 2013. Same part no, 94ag14a073bab,
It took the parts dept 3 weeks to track one down but eventually found me one in a dealership in Germany.
Cost £300 for the new fuse box.

I added some additional parallel conductors to the tracks that were showing heat stress. So far so good.
