Ooh look it’s my fuseboard, I’ve gotta say if that was fitted by a proper alarm company I hope they’re not in business now

yep they have no idea, just rip panels off snapping lugs and fixings then squash in as much wiring as possible so they dont gave to shorten anything

It's not just alarm companies, I took a plug off the wall in our kitchen last year to find the previous owner (who was a sparky) had just twisted the wires together just like on you picture above rather than fixing them properly in the back of the socket.

Gulp That is a disgrace!!! Think i will be checking mine later after seeing that mess.Good luck with it.

Seems if you need anything doing properly you've got to do it yourself.

You can probably imagine the stuff i see here on a daily basis with wiring.

One of the best ive seen was a Saff Cosworth that had a full engine loom fitted by a well known tuner no longer trading (i wonder why)

Instead of making a nice neat job removing the old loom, which is not really hard to do, they had decided it was best to make the old loom into a ball and stuff it unsecured under the inlet manifold Complete.

It came to me running badly and the new loom they fitted was also falling apart, so we fitted a new one, and removed 2 old ones
                          Regards James.

If a company or a registered installer fitted that then they fit to a standard ! Thats got no standard what so ever if you have a certificate of fitment complain to the governing body if fred in the shed fitted it then
