I've death with Karl before, he's really knowledgeable and a friendly bloke. He's 15 minutes from my house but I drive all the way to SCS in Peterborough... Just prefer the service. Depends what you want doing....

        Thanks for the replies guys.

I was considering having the Escort live mapped if he can do that, using the standard ECU?Just to make sure everything is spot on regarding fuelling etc.As the car is currently running stage 3 on a generic chip.

I know Jamsport live map on the rollers using the standard ECU,but thought i would ask about your experiences with Norris Motorsport.

        Any more recommendations welcome.

Derbyshire RSOC have avoided him for a long time. He does things how they should be done, though it's not always how you want it. Just my opinion, though he is good, don't get me wrong. And his live mapping is top notch, though MSD are the kings at stock, like Mark said.

I'm not knocking him or his work, he's done loads of good work. Though quite a few people have given him there cars and they've had additional work as "it needed doing" without prior consultation and sometimes takes a hell of a lot longer than promised due to arisings. I think it's his helpful nature and he's an engineer by profession so he's extremely through though sometimes a bit too much. If i say I want X doing, generally I want X doing at Y price. He kinda goes overboard sometimes! If it needs other things, fine, just tell me first as my bank account isn't unlimited!!!

Ah Okay Gotcha….Good to hear someone being thorough in his work. But doing work that hasn't been approved first isn't the way i would like to do things,as i certainly don't have a bottomless pit of cash too!
                    Thanks for the replies mate.

Not seen your car around.Take it that it doesn't get out much?

i use karl and ollie all the time they are second to none they look after my focus and escos which is running 700 bhp and all mapped by them etc
as for being cheap there may be cheaper out there but in my eyes you get what you pay for which is top service and the power that he says your car will be karl is honest and says what he thinks no better mapper in my eyes but im not saying others are not good at what they do

I have always used NMS, very happy with the way my car has been worked on and mapped, no problems with my driving on track flat out all the time.

ok, I have been surprised at a bill however if you agree at the beginning about any extra work that may have to be done then as long as you both know then there can be no problems at the end.

I have always used nms...always spot on and Ollie always keeps me up to speed...my personal opinion of close knit clubs...most are sheep who always follow the leader or popular person at the time...
