Time to sell imo, this spike in car prices ain’t going to last, the bubble will burst like it did in the 80s.
Just like housing market was in the 2000s was booming, then pop.
The amount of people you speak to that say I’ve bought it as an investment for later life. Which is fair enough, the key is when do you cash it in.

Now's the time to cash in if you've had one years and fancy a change or ya arse is twitching
look at Mk1 mk2 escort rally cars, they are dropping, £80 100k a couple of years ago.
pick one up for 45-60k now and with choice.
Though some cars will always hold the money, ex works ex press car etc will always be worth top dollar, theyll become museum pieces.
and they are only worth what someone is prepared to pay,

i think most of us on here have had our escorts long enough and would make a nice profit on the car if we decided to sell it however, as it does not owe us stupid money which they are now, we are happy to sit on the car and be content owning it and driving it when we all get chances to.
IF I did ever sell mine, I doubt that I would want to pay the big money to replace it as well, so better off keeping it imo.
been a good few on here that have sold their cars and now cannot get another one due to prices going too high and people not selling nice cars and they are sorry for letting them go as at the time they think they can let go of cosworth ownership and a while later they need another car.
Dave.

It's not what it is it's the fact you can move it on and buy another classic in the making ,like a 550 marenello or a gallardo or maybach for old Cozzeh moola.
If you dont want to sell then great another rondel post or something will be along shortly but I'm talking baby holding if you'd rather cash in than see it depreciated if you stand to make a vast profit

I just know for sure i would regret letting any off them go, so for me the extra cash just wouldnt be Worth IT...

It took me 17 years to get my EsCos and was always my (realistic) dream car. I finally got it 7 years ago and it still puts a smile on my face. The fact that it may have gone up in value is irrelevant (but nice to know).
I might be tempted for a change one day, but not just yet!

I sold mine back in 2003 and regretted it straight away but I needed the money so needs must I suppose..., fortunately enough I found the car through the forum and bought it back, unless my circumstances change then I would never sell it, I don't car if they drop in price TBH as I just love the car.sigpic
