Uh ooo... what is the issue? It seems to fit perfect and line up to the holes under bonnet? I bought it off Martin Hadland (Reyland) so assumed this would be a trusted guy...

Thanks for the tip I will ask if in doubt, I know there are so many bespoke parts it will not be easy identifying them all...

It's going to cost you a fortune to rebuild that car if your planning on buying all the parts individually , your better of hold on and try to get a rotten doner if you can find one.
            just my opinion mate,

Your probably right to be fair, I just keep seeing the odd bits and can't help myself

I'm hopefully picking up my new baby this week after a 3 month wait (focus RS Edition ) which has totally ko'd my piggy bank so once I'm back turned around may have a look about.. it's finding one that might prove tricky I'd imagine...

Personally I'd of bought a old rally car that needed freshening up. Them oulton rally school cars looked cheap and could of been registered.. they were well under ten grand too

Wow they were cheap! I was not aware and to be fair did not want the cage etc, the idea behind the shell is that I can build my dream escort. Every nut bolt and part either new, or powder coated/refurbished and updated or upgraded to my taste. It might be more expensive and the long way round but it will be worth it to me when it's done I hope. Plus what a fantastic journey

Have you got a plan? You say you're changing the colour? Is it going to be standard or big power? Let people know what you're thinking and you might find they have what you're after.

As said, do the trust eBay. Chat to breakers for job lots of stuff. The bits aren't usually the killer, it's the bolts and clips etc that add up!
