Hi guys, I've got a Mongoose exhaust and bought a sport cat for it. Does anyone know where it needs to sit on the exhaust so that it doesn't foul anything? Anyone got any pics of who can do me some measurements so I can give them to a welder would be much appreciated.

It should fail if one is not fitted, but really comes down to the tester.
Technically even though sports cats may pass the MOT scheme, they are not road legal, as changing any emission control parts from what the car was type approved with, is an offence, but its been a grey area for many years, they are starting to clamp down on it now with all the DPF/Decat issues we read about in the press.

I have a MagnaFlow 3" on my Mongoose. No problems for MOT.

The mongoose one on my standard ST car used to go through with no bother - now it's a right faff, i'll be replacing it next year. Mines on the standard map and it fails unless the car is super hot.
Mongoose ones were type approved and marked so they are no different to fitting an non-OE one, although I don't think you can get them anymore.
