  • Cam timing question

Right so my head has been skimmed and the block decked went today to put on new belt and the woodruff key is allowing movement in the bottom pulley. Hard to believe .2 of a mm under size allow so much movement. Tried the dizzy key in and it is tight in both crank and pulley so a wee bonus only key worn. Ordered a new key. The thing is even thought my car was going sweet before there is a 1mm on the inlet cam pointer. Is this worth getting adjustable pulleys. Am not into tuning so I thought some of you guru's might tell me something.

Basically yes adjustable pulleys will be of benefit on a standard engine and when set up correctly can take out and discrepancies in head/ block height, cam/crank tolerances etc
