    has anyone fitted one of the after market ones and are they any good,correct length etc,orig ones are n/l/available obviously

    i bought one off ebay and its a pile of shite, no bulk head grommet and its quite a bit longer than the one it was going to replace.

            update on this, id totally forgotten that i got a brand new spare cable with the car when i bought it so i dug it out the cupboard and it looks the same as the ones on ebay,burtons and ggr etc,i tried it on the back of the clocks and it doesnt even grip anything ,its very poorly made and over 20" longer than the orig one so its obviously a pattern part off a truck or something so it went straight in the bin the only problem with my orig one was that it was a bit jumpy at low speeds so ive removed the inner cable and greased it all up and it works a treat so an easy fix for once
