  • Insurance renewal time

    Hi All,

Well its that time of year again for me and i'm not too impressed with my renewal quote from my current Insurer. So its time to shop around…Who do you use and what kind of premium are you paying.

I know this has probably been discussed before but would be great to get some unto date information on who people are using and paying,i'm sure this will help everyone come renewal time.

    Cheers
    Andy

Mines with need to insure too. Premiums will differ greatly due to age/postcode/occupation/value/mods/usage etc

        Thanks for the replies...

I have my work van and my Focus RS with need to insure and waiting for them to get back to me with a quote as I won’t be going back to Carole Nash.

I would be interested to know what you guys pay for your EsCos through need 2 insure.

I was hoping for more suggestions from different companies... don’t be shy tell me who you use

        Cheers
        Andy

Since having car on the road always used Need2insure, possibly not the cheapest but great advice/ service and peace of mind

I've used Boncaster via the RSOC a few times, I tend to just contact Boncaster and Need 2 Insure and choose the cheaper of the two. I avoid places like Carole Nash and Adrian Flux due to hearing horror stories.

My van costs more to insure than my Cosworth !! Always has but will be even more so now that someone hit the van......and i got the blame !! FUCKERS lol You would think your own insurance company would back you up in a liability dispute as it would be to their benefit ? NO, they just rolled over ! FUCKIN' FUCKERS Insurance company people are not my favourite kind of people to be honest as you can maybe tell...............sorry, i've gone off on a bit of a rant here lol

Need to Insure for the win, but since I don't even get time to use it more than a handful of times in the year it makes more sense to just insure with DayInsure for any occasion I take it out. Only £60 for a week of driving to Germany, which is it's next trip out.

Back on topic........i've got everything with Need to Insure.......Cosworth, GTA, Van and even my public liability insurance for work. Cossie has been cheap this last year as it's on a laid up policy for £175 i can't remember off hand what the full policy used to be but i know it will be higher when i put it back on the road as there seems to be price hikes across the board !

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

I'm going to give Boncaster a call tomorrow morning as I've used them before for my Focus but the renewal quote was ridiculous so moved across to Need 2 Insure.
Also going to call Lancaster and see how i get on.

Will report back with the results.,hopefully to give others a bit of guidance.

                          Thanks again Andy

Every company has horror stories, and everyone’s premium will be different. Insurance is a totally individual thing.
