        70% !! Holy crap, that's a big slice !

What were Flux like about modifications ? Some companies seem to just want a broad outline of how far you've gone whilst others seem to want receipts for every last nut and bolt

          It is a lot Jules.

they wanted a list of the mods on the car, never mentioned reciepts.

i never got time to call Paul today so will have to wait until then to decide.

          Dave.

I've had a few quotes from them in the past but they were never consistent. Quotes would be wildly different for the same car and circumstance etc. I had a friend go with them as well but he didn't rate them. I wouldn't like to make a claim through them.

I am with Need2Insure and although a bit more pricey the service has always been okay - fortunately never had to make a claim though. Not sure if anyone else has - that is usually the acid test with insurers...

Had to cancel with flux many years as they messed up and used my NCB even though it was proven on the phone recording that I said it was to be a second car so couldn’t use my NCB for the policy.
vowed never to go back as they were not very helpful

Mine is a little Frankenstein-ish so is a right insurance conundrum. But Paul at need2insure covered it without an issue, plus you have add on benefits like breakdown etc that aren't costly.

All insurance companies will have good and bad reports, but tbh, I’d move purely for the principle of them trying to bump you out of cash, I know they all do it but 70% is a HUGE difference! They should be showing more loyalty to current customers.

Been emailing N2I over their quote and apparently i have a modified ploicy that gets no claim discounts every year if i dont claim....dont know why i was on this as i dont need the ncd every year on the cosworth, getting it on another car anyway.

So because i have this policy that why its so expensive compared to Adrian Flux’s quote.

No i can have a ‘classic’ car policy which works out around AF quote.

So will be finalising the quote and taking it out.

Just check your policy next tume lads and make sure its correct for you.

                      Dave.

I had the same mate, ended up with 6 years NCB that I couldn't apply to another car when I ended the policy to SORN the car for a while.
