How do you just loose no claims? Do you have proof of them over the years from emails or renewal letters? They can’t just loose them unless you had a smash and not protected them etc

But yeah, Need2Insure will see you right

N2i do car insurance for the escort cosworth which builds up ncd.

this is more expensive than having a classic car insurane
        which does not build ncd.

I've gone with Adrian Flux this year. Been with N2I for a few years but it was very expensive when I increase the valuation on renewal. I think both companies are worth a call though.

I've gone between Need 2 Insurance, Boncaster and another who's name fails me at the moment. I've come to learn that cheapest isn't always best.

As we all know insurance companies will do all they can to get out of a claim, it's worth paying for a smaller firm who you can talk to properly. Not car related but we had a 40ft tree come down in our garden end of September in high winds. It has been a monumental ball ache to sort.

I'm with Admiral. £105 for 500 miles a year, £55k agreed value. Don't waste your time with protected no claims - it's a racket! They just put your premium up to compensate.

But how can you lose 10 years NCB???

I would ask the same, how has it been lost? I know if you don't have insurance for over 2 years you can lose it, but apart from accidents I'm not sure how else you would lose it.
                Cheers
                Trev.

Just made the same move - Adrian Flux were a good chunk cheaper and N2I didn't want to know when i rang them up to see if they could match it. shame really as been with them for a few years and always had good dealings with them.

As Trev says above, you'll lose the no claims if you move on to a classic policy for a couple of years. To be honest though most companies will still give you a discount if you have a NCD on the dailycar. Adrian Flux gave me a discount for the 9 years i have on the daily mondeo.

Really? I'm not aware of that, and the no claims years still appear on my Admiral docs....

I am also with admiral , its £170, per year, agreed value, with 2000 miles limit, I have no ncb, as I use it on my other cars. Have tried other companies for quotes and couldn't touch this price.

He couldn't on mine - the main stream insurers such as Aviva, Admiral and Churchill are always loads cheaper for our 330d and Focus diesel so he can't match.

Thanks for the reply’s I didn’t realise that being on a classic car policy you don’t get any ncb, I’ve been with the same company for 3 years and I only noticed last year on my docs that I never had any ncb so when I asked they said because I’m on classic policy coz the car is a classic and they have told me it works out better
