Ok so for clarity the units you posted are a 2008mk1 radio and a 2028cd.... are you wanting to install a 2007mk1 and 2028cd and black amp (straight swap) or the later 2007mk2 and 2040cd and silver amp...? Both set ups use different connections on the loom and different connections between the units.....????

sorry mate yes the 2 items in the picture in the center console came out of an escort cosworth i got to make a track car out of, when i got it the car was almost complete just missing engine box props and front seats, the loom and interior were still in it. however my cosworth has just a radio cassette in it. i will also need to find out the key codes for it. thanks.

Ok, so in your Escos you have a single radio cassette and you want to retro fit the 2028 CD in the picture..? First you will need to know what your existing radio is (fingers crossed its a mark1) then the bad news, if you intend to use the 2028 in the picture and you don't know the code then I believe its not obtainable, happy to be educated if it can, remember its a 3 digit code for the 2028 . Next question, does the 2028 work? I bought and tried 4x2028's and everyone suffered from the same fault, a knackered laser and there is no replacement, again happy to be educated, not trying to be negative just want to help as I have been down this rabbit hole LOL

Right while I had the centre console out plastic welding it (solder gun style) on the back of the ash tray was a serial no and code for the original radio cassette I looked through my stash and found the original one with the same serial no. so now because of all the problems that may possibly occur that will be going back in, However I have now sold the car as it is, but I am sure the guy that bought it will ask me how I am getting on. so on the back of that radio cassette 2007 there is a yellow power multi connector but where do the speaker wires fit in all I can se on the back of that is what looks like a flat multiconnector hole. does this type of radio need a separate amp like in the 1st pic?
