  • Full detail and paint correction

Currently my car is with The Car Carer in Essex, it’s having a full detail and multi stage pint correction before being ceramic coated. My car is over 26 years old and fully in its original gloss black paint still. Take a look at the guys Facebook page as he uploads several videos each day, let me know what you think.

    Fantastic job.
It’ll end up better than you could imagine, like always you get a car back from detailing, especially if it is done to this high standard.
The only problem is that it would be so perfect that you would be scared to touch it.

It depends on what protection you have applied afterwards.

Having just had exactly that done to mine (see other thread) which is also gloss black, you'll be amazed at the result!

Depends on the coating but for what I’ve chosen £950. That includes a Feynlab light coating which is what Keith recommend for this paintwork, apparently very soft and therefore the harder coatings don’t work as well.

If if you’ve got pretty good paint then I think £950 is money well spent, otherwise I’d put the money towards a respray, but it’s only original once.

To be honest I was happy with it before but know that gloss black paint can be the most amazing colour, however rarely is as it shows the most minor marks that just wouldn’t show up on any other colour.

What did you take to him, was it an Escos? Keith has a real passion for his work, I don’t think he’s in it for the money he does it because he loves doing it, I dare say the money is a bonus. He’s been on this car for 12 hours every day this week, he’s still going right now.

It does look amazing however £950 is a lot.

thought it was going to be around £400-£500 which i thonk i could spend but not near £1k.
