I love the way people are starting to mention Cossie tax as if that makes it ok. All we are doing is ripping each other off & the day will come when we can’t afford to run our cars anymore!

It was the voices in my head that made me do it.........

No, it's not okay, thankfully that's one thing I don't need to buy! I've not looked through the 'Cosworth' items on E-BAY recently, a lot of the prices are bloody ridiculous.

if you needed one though and it was the difference between finishing your car or not then i suppose it would be worth it? not like morretes which you can do without,,i think ben should get on the case and have wings remade and bumpers while hes at it

I sold 3 sets on eBay for almost half that and still made a few quid. Absolute joke it's a shame that people take advantage of the fact they know how much folk want certain items. (500 grilles being the prime example)

I have fallen foul of this cossie tax a few times. I have been offered things at half the price I paid beforehand. It's just dropping on someone who is not out for every penny.

It's completely ridiculing the buyer by saying rs tax has been applied. What a wanker I hope he never sells them.

I have sold a few things on ebay for stupid money and if people pay it then thats up to them.

99% i use the auction so it sells for what people bid for and it has got stupid money wise.

as for saying its stupid money to sell parts for, yes it is however there are people buying the parts for that money so it will carry on until they dont sell, then the prices will have to be lowered.

also, why not sell your cars for £20k as there not worth £40-£50k?

Would everyone sell something for less than what they can get?

                      Dave.

Not as bad as Gary at rs classics he buys other people’s second hand parts off eBay and adds on a fare whack to the price without doing anything, he once bought a cossie ecu off me and before I even posted it he had it advertised using my pictures but £100 more expensive, total chancer.

i have respect for car breakers as they have to buy a whole car, spend time stripping it etc but he is ripping the piss.
