Fuel Tank

Hi all.
Can any one tell me if there is supposed to be any padding on top of the fuel tank when its put back in. I found 2 black hard foam blocks lying around in the back of the car after I removed the tank. I cant remember if they fell off the tank and I threw them in the boot which is gutted for painting or they belong perhaps near each rear quarter rubber vent??

Deffo not on the tank but as you suggest located in the rear quarters near the rubber vents....

They stick onto the top of the rubber vent in each rear quarter, they’re just there to help the carpet keep its shape.
