  • 6 Deg Beam Hitting Floor

    Hi all.

Fitted my new 6 degree beam this evening but found that the 2 middle mounts which are extended forwards, the top of these mounts sit tight against the floor. Is this common or only on mine?
I don't think it would take much with a hammer to get some clearance.

    Any feedback?

    Thanks
    Dan

It is Anembo, so there's plenty of their beams about and was imagining it might be just something to do with my car.

Yes it’s not normal to hit the floor. They now use MK jigs to make the beams, so I’d go back to them and ask. I have the same beam and have fitted an original mk one to an Escos in the past which didn’t fit the floor.

Ya I may give them a shout tomorrow but I sorted it this morning with some gentle persuasion. So many factors affecting it so could be one of several things really

Just wanted too see if a common occurrence.

          Cheers

Have you used the billet beam mounts? I did and my 6 degree beam touches the floor as the mounts aren’t thick enough so machine spacers to lower it to the same height as OE bushes would once compressed.

No, I went with powerflex bushes. To space it out like you did I would probably need around a 5-10mm spacer. Seems to be just something up with mine and that's why it's hitting (or at least was!).
