I have driven to Italy twice ,on my own,2006 in a 23 yo RS 1600i ,and 2008 in a new Fiesta

Tolls do mount up on a long trip ,but iirc Italy was more expensive than France

i would rather do a long road trip on me todd ,but thats obviously not an option for you Wenny

and the belief that petrol is cheaper in europe is a myth it can be more expensive

For sure, It cost me 20 Euro's each way through the Frejus tunnel. I was in a diesel and at the time diesel was cheaper in europe. All the team vehicles were ordered to brim their tanks before crossing the channel
