strut brace questions

i cant get strut braces for my maestro (there wasnt a big demmand for them funny enough)

anyway i know a good welder , is it possible to get a alloy hollow bar welded across the strut points ? front and rear ?

or are strut braces a technical bit of kit that need set up correct ?

ryan my mate has made one for his mk2 escort using the official ford rally prep manual.

if you know what your doing with the fabrication its straight forward imo.

also on certain high performance evo's and subarus they have engine strut brace,boot brace across the shockies,also they can have a brace across the back panel and across behind the drivers and passenger seats. seen them done and it makes for a extremely rigid road car.
