Seriously Jay, as an intellegent man (I use both those words VERY loselyOriginally posted by Franco View Postshut up you babbling fool!
I'm just not a 'club' man to be blunt, I love my escort, Period!
), you should undertstand the implications of allowing the club membership to die off, especially if you love your car as much as you profess
. I too think that there are some people involved in the RSOC that do it for their own gains and ego trips, but there are a few people who do stuff selflessly, so if we get them voted into positions of authoritaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
, then we can effect changes from the inside out. But to do that, you need to be a member

Gotta agree with Mike tbh mate
I think the politics and all the ego/power trips that some members are on does take a bit of the fun away from being in the club, but without the club things would be a lot worse for us rs fans whether thats escos' or fiestas.
I have just renewed for 3 years & so has my missus even though we're entitled to a joint membership.

The only real benefit that I see is to keep the RS marque afloat. If the membership dwindles significantly, it will be a sign to the suits at Ford that the RS badge is of little significance, so will mean they will reconsider future models
.
Ask not what the RSOC can do for you, but what YOU can do for the the RSOC
.
Your RSOC needs YOU (picture weird moustache bloke pointing at you
).
Seriously, the more members the club has, the more money they can invest in remanufactured parts etc.Mike Rainbird

It is always hard to quantify what the RSOC membership gives you.
Don't forget it brings you National Day, and up until this year swallowed the legal costs and various other bits and bobs for all the regional shows. So without any membership no ND and possibly no regional shows.

£80.00 per 3 years
Nat day, magazine, insurance, group buys, owners club forum, discount on parts etc
but some of these wont apply to you, plus we keep the club & the RS badge alive
