  • Bufty boys-brake disks

    Right, getting all my ream beam bits ready and looking at my rear brake disks they are 4x4 and mint, just the centres are a bit shabby from standing around, whats the best way to get these mint? Get them blasted then paint or.???

          Got em for the front and don't need em on back, suppose I could get some 300mm upgrade with two piec disk, just these disks are like new other then centres have gone bit rusty, so got to sort it some how!

            there not bells fletch, there discs by the sounds of it. Wouldnt you be able to get the whole disc zinc coated maby, then the pads will wear through the coating where they touch but the rest of the disc wont rust? Or How about that coating lincoln got on his hubs and flanges?

            Or get your wallet out and go bells and rotors

              could always sand them down to get rid of the rust, and then coat them liberally in WD40 to ensure it doesn't return...
              May have a slight affect on the stopping power though?

                Soak in vinegar for a couple of days then paint.

                  Might be a bit ott on the zinc plating vie got loads done on underside, domt think it would look right
