  • Where can I get disk retaining clips? And greasing bells.

Anyone know anyone that sells the little disk retaining clips that go over the wheel bolts and hold the disk in place (apart from Ford)? Hopefully you can see I've got one on this wheel on the top bolt.

They interfere with some wheels so I binned mine

Just go to an iron mongers and ask for a shake proof washer, there are internal and external types though so make sure you get the right one

          Thanks for that guys.

Just another question, do you put copper grease on the disk bells where the wheel will press onto it to stop damage/corrosion to the anodising on the bells?

Yes, that's what I was wondering Nick, I don't want it all over the disks but I thought it might just protect that area a bit.

Yes, it's getting there Craig, may not be this week with being at work but I'm off all next week, so hopefully will get it done then. Got the rear calipers on tonight, although I've snapped one of the retaining clips for the handbrake cable, bought a boxful from Halfords and none of them are the same, so I'm trying to file them down. Not got the brake hoses connected yet, as I hear that can be a challenge trying to seal them, and of course I've got nothing on the front yet at the moment.
                            Cheers
