Back in december i received a letter saying that my nova was not insured and on askmid database.

Which is strange as i have the certificate of insurance with me

Im fully insured and my insurance gets payed up front with paul at need to insure for both cars.

I finally get a call today from Gareth saying that at last that askmid have updated there details and i am now showing that my car is insured.

The guys at need to insure did everything they could do to get my car on the databass and it was the pratts at askmid that did not do there job properly.


So paul if your reading this thanks goes to your team for doing your bit and keeping with it and informing me when it was all sorted.

I check Askmid every time I get a car insured to be safe Even when I changed the reg plate over

My mate has a series 1 and it's not on the mid. He's told his insurance company twice and all they can say is "we don't know why it's not on there" !

the problem with the fuck ups by the MIB on the MID is that if your stopped outside working hours and the police cant contact your insurer, you WILL loose your car even if you have certificate on you. Too many fake certificates out there so police dont trust them.

its one thing about the current driver system that annoys me. All info is on a database. The police trust the database not paperwork, so why does the producer system still exist??? v5 means nothing these days. Mot is just a "reciept" now, insurance certificates are worthless, so whats the fucking point of giving people producers other than an unofficial way of coppers punnishing you with the embugerance factor????
