What do you need detailing tape for?

Be careful Carlo cause that tape took the paint clean of my mates bumper when we got to ford fair

we taped the cars before we left for silverstone to save stone chips and took it off when we got there and it pulled a fair bit off tbh my mate was fairly pissed off,i would use normal masking take if your trying to save stone chips bud

The 3m blue tape is pretty low tac so for it to actually remove paint would suggest something was amiss with the paint rather than the tape.
