  • 3.9 diff conversion whats needed??

I have a 3.9 front and rear diff. but not going to use the front one I want to fit a step down in the transfer box but I'm not sure exactly what to get and where from?
presume its just the lower cog and a shorter chain?? but what spec?

The 3.9 front diff won't last long atall, if you think the standard front diff is weak then the 3.9 is going to be even worse!

For what the fronts diffs cost to buy second hand I'd chuck it in and see what happens lol

£30 will see you another 1 if it strips it's teeth, then go 3:6 and drop gears

Problem is if it breaks that's my race weekend over!
                Hence wanting a better solution,
I just want to know what and where to buy them!!

                  Either call G.E.A.R.S or BARA

Both will supply you with the drop gears and chain to suit the 3.9 set up

Expect to pay between £450 and £600
