Turbo surge

What is the worst thing, who can be damage from turbo surge, only turbo?

It should be just the turbo that breaks, as it will be the shaft that snaps, which will then mean that it will suddenly be out of balance, the compressor wheel "should" come to an abrupt stop as it contacts the housing, as it won't be driven by anything any more.

That is what i thought. My mate have surge on his Sapphire, new inlet cam, porting head and new map is probably what he will go for

When do you get the surge? And how does it feel when driving? Cos mine surges when at a constant throttle position , it feels Like the cars surging back and forth !

It comes under load on low rpm in 3 and 4 gear. You can hear the air noise, when it goes against compressor wheel. If you gear down, and trottle it, it`s goes fine
