  • Anyone with bigger brakes

Following on from my brembo thread, has any of you had to change your studs in the front hubs as im not that happy with the amount the nuts are going on, the bells are slightly thicker than the standard discs, but even with just the engles fitted they never have seemed to go on enough imho.

Cheers guys , ill get some and change them, looks like you can do it in situ by knocking them out where the caliper positions ?

Yeah easy enough to do without removing hub/drive flange. Just knock them out and replace.

Check wheelnut torque for the first couple of times you drive afterwards incase any are not seated 100% when you knock/pull them into place

If you track the car I'd go bigger diameter at the same time but not sure if the standard wheels will take an M14 stud

Got mine replaces as I had to add 10 mm spacers or the std wheels would not go on and like you was not happy with the thread the nuts would go on.
