Hi guys I'm having a hells own job getting the near side front joint back onto the sump with the circlip fitted the drivers side flew in but I'm unsure if I should leave clips off I'm hearing different stories can anyone shed any light on it for me please as I'm on with it now.

Leave them on. Get a block of wood, put it at the end of the shaft, big hammer and knock it In. They can be tight but do go in.
    Thanks Mark.

the only shaft that has a circlip on is the one that goes into the diff

the shaft that goes into the to the other side doesnt have a clip hence your struggling to get it in

I left mine off as you have to drain diff to remove it otherwise. The other shaft has a snap spring clip and will need a bit of a push for the shaft to go in lock with the ring. Same as taking it off, quick snatch and it usually, yep usually lol, comes out!

as said the very inner part of the shaft should have no circilp
the sump side can but it means taking the diff plate off and there really is no need
