  • 300mm rear brake conversion

Anybody used the st170 300mm front discs for a rear conversion on the Escos? I'm gonna have a play around next week, ordered some discs. Just wondered if anybody had already done it to save me making some templates for brackets

Cool mate put me down for the dimensions and bracket info. i may get some for the track COSSY

            Info on disks.

            FORD Focus
            2.0L ST170
            2003 On

            Front
            Disc Brake Rotors

            DR2101
            Vented

            Diameter: 300
            Overall Height: 43.5
            Original Thickness: 24
            Minimum Thickness: 22
            Centre Hole: 63.5
            Stud Holes: 4

They say 24mm thick did you have to do anything to the calipers to get them to fit? As i thought cosworth std rear disc,s are 20mm thick.

I had a look at mine today and going by your pics, your brackets must be ever so thin to be able to fit in between the hub and the backing plate as shown in your pics on pf, they must be like 3mm plate and to me that seems way to thin because there is no way anything thicker would fit on mine.

I mean the tab part of the backing plate, in front of were the abs sensor mounts, the gap between that tab and the rear of the hub, there is defo no room on mine to fit a 6mm plate in between them, I'm gonna have to trim that tab off and sit the bracket just above the abs sensor.

Yeah I can see yours fits between the shield and back of hub, mine is also a Escos so I can't understand how you have more space in between than i do? ill take a pic tomoz or Wednesday and show you what I mean, it's no biggy because I can just trim that shield tab off to allow my bracket to sit just on top of the abs sensor, I've already bored 4 pieces of ally bar as the 14mm spacers so as a soon as the discs arrive it should be plain sailing mate.
