Fuel in the Highlands

A question for those up that way or who have driven in the Highlands......... how easily available is high octane super unleaded fuel once you get off the beaten track ?

I'm about to book this for next year.......

But if i have to limp round on 95 Octane fuel its not going to be so great

can you not google the petrol stations around the areas you are going to Jules and see if they are Shell stations ect...

Still looking into it but been asking people on Facebook who have done it and it doesn't sound promising ....... Pretty much no 99 North of Glencoe ! Just trying to find out about 97 as that will do with the boost down a bit and a bottle of booster in the tank

There is a shell app for android that shows you where all shell petrol stations are.

I'm sure the Tesco app shows you the filling stations too. Momentum ftw!

Shell station and tesco 99 momentum in Inverness and Tain has 99 momentum also. Going east from inverness super unleaded readily available in most places.

stick a proper size jerry can in the boot and that should increase your range enough to be practical.

Sadly i think i'm going to have to scrap the idea as spoken to those that have been and Super looks a real issue up there so for me thats going to spoil the tour worrying about melting the engine

So have a new plan in consideration
