  • Job/project at the Commercial Vehicle show

I don’t know if anyone is interested, but I know some of you like a project so I thought I would post a few pictures of what I do for a living.
I work with my family and we are an exhibition company, which build show stands for all manner of companies and this weekend we were at the Commercial Vehicle show at the NEC which we had two stands at.
The stand that I built was for Stongs Plastic Products, which make bodies for electric/utility companies and also fire engine backs.
The other stand was for PCL/Horn. PCL make air fittings and Horn is a German company, which makes pumps and air, reels.

I'm not really very good putting images on so I thought I would also put this on this way as well just in case you can't open the Photobucket link

We didn't do this stand but I thought it might interesting as it is a very nice garage fit out.

              Nice work
I work (until tomorrow) for a bus/coach builder and obviously have some big stands at shows. They send the same people to all the different shows in Europe and they tailor make the stands to suit all the different shows in the different countries. This picture is from one we had here in Norway, with only 2 coaches and 1 bus on the stand along with 8-10 tables, a bar, kitchen and meeting room. At the bigger shows there are 8-10 buses and coaches on the stands. I was very impressed with these guys and how all the work for things like this is done, was really an eye opener. Never thought about this when wandering around at shows over the years until I saw everything getting built. Must be some serious planning of everything up front

Three days to put up, three show, and three hours to take down and pack away.

                        Cool thread

I go to the lighting and build show in Frankfurt every year, the trade stands there are unbelievable

Bars, nightclubs, restaurants, robots walking around showing you the products etc

Companies must have some serious budgets for this sort of thing

Hiring a decent spot next to an entrance is like £100,000 alone
