  • I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and the escos...

    ...isn't going anywhere.
And what's more, I'm taking it to see a man about getting it under sealed tomorrow, and do you think I'm going to tell the other half?.. Nah. something of a role reversal? Do I get a badge of honour?

                        Cheers everyone

The baby's a boy so that's a start lol! His dad isn't in the slightest bit interested in cars, doesn't even drive hence I'm keeping the undersealing a secret!!

Regarding the secrecy thing, I'd knock that on the head early ! Been there done that and still do it and hate it and it hasn't led to a good place

Tell him about it and he can either put up or shut up........or just say you're protecting an investment which is true it's your car and your life so live it......if he's a good 'un he'll be behind you

Thanks guys. Lol Julian, you are right, I am crap at keeping my mouth shut and so ended up telling him anyway although it turned to be a bit of a wasted trip, not sure that the guy was that into the idea of doing it, or was genuinely out for my best interests. He said that I would probably be looking around the £350 mark depending on how much buggeration he encountered in getting the sills off (with screws snapping etc. and that he wasn't all that confident that they would go back on as well anyway) and that actually with the condition of the underside as it is, he would question the need to do anything to it at all (there is a bit of surface rust on the inner sills, but other than that he said it is in very good shape, which is what a lot of people have said).

Someone else then chipped in that I'd be better off spending the money on getting the emissions back down to where they should be, which I am not sure is possible without undoing the engine mods that it's had done to it
