eBay and PayPal what a joke

Sold a bumper the other week on eBay buyer asked if it was a certain model told them there's 2 different types sent them a pic of both types on a car told them which model it was for which you could see clear as day in the pics

They bought the bumper them told me a robbed them as they bought the wrong bumper

They then re advertised saying in there Advert they bought the wrong bumper then it never sold so won a case thru PayPal for a refund and they have now gave them a full refund

I even screen shotted all the messages between us showed them there listing saying they bought the wrong bumper and still they backed the buyer

What chance have you got they now have a refund I've still not got the bumper back and you can't reply to the PayPal case anymore

So basically you could buy anything re advertise it even try make a profit of it if it doesn't sell you'll get a full refund including your postage

Stopped selling on there years ago after a similar issue Gibby, fekin joke but unfortunately sellers are wide open because of the way it's set up

am just glad a only sell the odd thing on there stuff having a eBay shop and having to make a living of it and deal with that

As they can really post anything back doesn't need to even be the same item and they get refunded still

The whole eBay setup is based on everyone being trustworthy and honest. Unfortunately not everyone are like that and the buyer seems to have the power over the transaction.

I occasionally buy/sell on there but never anything valuable.

all the digital "safe" world today, is crap... its opens up for this kind of pepole... much easier to scam pepole when you dont have to face them, and the legal system is protecting them more then the victims in many cases...

I sold a set of focus st wheels collection only,
Got begged and begged to post,my reply I'll wrap them best I can and you sort your own courier out,
Week later PayPal took the money out of my account as they had logged a complaint saying the wheels were damaged,
My reply tuff see you courier,no not eBay they made me refund them 150 quid
But before it was sorted some cunt down south had my wheels PayPal had my money,sent them all my emails and they weren't interested,never would I do it again

I got caught with something similar beginning of the year.

As a rule I won't post anything unless I've spoken to and feel I can trust the person, but I only offer cash on collection now on eBay, no matter how much they want it posted.

If you can't be arsed to come and get it you obviously don't want it that bad is how I see it.

It can be a nightmare - I sold some old RC car spares on there last year, clearly stated in the advert what was present along with some really details images of everything. Buyer then opened a case saying that they were only spare parts which is exactly what they were advertised as. I ended up having to give him £20 back.

id ring paypal mate, they are not alllowed to give a refund until the item has been posted back with proof of its been signed for, if they have im sure thats some sort of theft or fraud

Still not got it back , tried to message eBay about it on the returns bit and got no reply so will give it to the weekend and phone try phone PayPal as didn't even know you could phone them
