I went Si , not many traders ,and didn't see many people , but I was on the track , and many of them had gone home by 330 !, from the tickets debarkall to the lack of punters would say no the best one I've been to in 20 years
Felt sorry for the local groups as the area they parked in was not good, it was very muddy in places.. It gave you the impression they where not part of the main area..... Why it wasn't like last year is anyone's guess I left around 1.00pm.
I tracked for the first time in my & it was ok, traders area was very poor this year, I didnt get much chance to view the in field area as was rushed with pit area but poorest Nat day ive seen for along time.
Track was good but parking was terrible, when you've got a fiesta st next to you and a Vauxhall Zafira opposite at an RS show you know somethings quite not right.
Hardly any traders there, I can't understand why graham Goode, burton and some of the popular tuners don't come any more.

This is true, we took 2x Escos, Escort Mex Mk2, Focus RS MK2 & a Transit with tools yet we parked next to Audi RS3 & & GTIR's amoung others in the infield bog this year.
I was on the Durham group stand mate, I had to fight for the pitch we had as originally we were down for the hard core/gravel/brick hard standing and I refused to park my car on it, the trouble was though we had a half mile drive over the very same crap to get to the infield
A first gear crawl and all you hear was stones bouncing off the underside of the car
None of the stands were marked out and the local group coordinator had no help, I drove straight in without anyone checking me and there were helpers standing about all over the paddock area and yet one man and his young son were left to mark out the local group stands.
I think there was probably enough there and enough going on to have a good show but it was uncoordinated and badly planned from what I saw with a subdued atmosphere.
The merchandise was spot on
The registrar anniversary stands were spot on
The 500's are always a sight to behold
Paul swift needs a new routine though, I didn't even go and watch him at any point.
There needs to be a full time national day co-ordinater running the show as what's going on now isn't right for the clubs premier show. It's actually being eclipsed by regional days which is quite sad.
