hi andy i have used mipa 4+1 primer for years but have recently started to use general rock primer as i find it to be much smoother and easier to rub down. and the laquer i use is crystal top but also find upol to be good its also cheap and user freindly. hope that can be of some help , any more questions i am happy to help you with, Gaz.
