  • gt30 on std engine?

what would a gt 30 be like on a std engine, internals would be stock, like comp, cams etc

would have 500 intercooler, breather system, exhaust, filter, uprated head gasket

injectors would possibly be 83lbs maybe 550cc siemens, coil pack etc

how would it drive, would it be very laggy? anyone done this on a std engine

what are they like for anti lag and launch controll aswell

the turbo would be the gt3076

Isnt the last 2 numbers the size of the exhaust housing GT3071 is 71mm and the GT3076 76mm. i could be wrong though.

Size of the compressor wheel. 71mm vs 76mm. 3071 would be the best one imo.
But then again I don't like the 76 that much.
Mark Shead would be your man when it comes to std comp.
I'd put a bd14 inlet in there though.

Speak with mark. Are you going to rebuild the engine first? if you are get the standard pistons machined with valve cut outs, Imo i would go with spec r intercooler, gt3071, and a MAD inlet cam. That would be a nice engine

aim for 450ish on a 3071 you can probly still make that power on standard cams and standard headwork but you will need doublevalve springs as you will get float like i did..

I have a GT3076 to go on mine - it will be fitted to a 8:1cr 205 short motor rebuilt 3k ago and has held 440bhp @2.4 bar on a Harvey T38 so should be similar if not a little more with the GT

I have a fully ported head and will be fitting a Kent AB07 inlet cam as you don't need uprated springs.

I am doing a GT3071 on a stock engine but with a AB07 inlet and a inlet space on Vipec, so it will be interesting to see how this one comes out.

That'll be very interesting as I'm hearing alot of good stuff about the AB07 cams.

is that cam designed for std pistons, i.e no valve cut outs?

When do you think that conversion will be done by Mark ?

Do you need to run a vernier pulley with the AB07 ??
