Just had an email from my local Ford dealer confirming the FOCUS RS500 will NOT be produced . I had a letter of intent and a deposit paid for one in the hope they would produce the car and that I would be allocated one and having previously purchased a Mk2 FOCUS RS and FOCUS RS500 I was confident that if produced I would get one - sadly the deposit is being returned and car won't be produced . I know the interest in them was high and also know that others had deposits paid wether the interest wasn't there worldwide or the car would be uneconomical to produce or for what ever reason the car will not be built.

this was confirmed several weeks back,i always said there wouldnt be one but nobody beleived me probably a good job as id hate to think what it would have cost

Give it a year or two. At least in the US, Ford has been releasing special editions of their special editions once the ... um ... special editions are firmly established, i.e. Boss 302, Cobra Jet drag car, etc. Remember, they still have the GT to field to the entire planet, and a new Raptor pickup. I wouldn't count out a limited run, extra zesty, Focus RS yet.

I also have money down, and have a 500 ,what a let down,shame on you Ford.
