What Tyre Size.

I have bought a set a these OZ replica wheels, and the other half is buying me the tyres for Xmas (who said romance is dead), thinking of Michelin Super Sports but I'm not exactly sure what the best tyre size will be, i know that loads of you run this wheel, what tyre size would you recommend. Plain and simple, 225/40-18, always fits well on a 8x18 rim

More and more cars are now running 235/40 on 8x18 wheels, such as focus st, gives better rim protection and greater grip.
Any of you EsCos guys running the above ?

I had 225/40/18 Michelin pilot super sports on mine really nice tyre and perform great on all condition shame they don't do them in 235/40/18

If it's dry use you could go semi slick?. I ran yokohama ad08 for many years in 235 40 18 really good road tyre, 235 fills the arches better and makes 18s look right imo.
They can rub on suspension arms though iirc, depending on what shocks you have so be aware.
