Amal valve

So am in the middle of some work on the escort which is all good took the rad out and intercool few weeks ago and unplugged the Amal valve plug didn't think any more about it till I came to put it back in and found two more plugs which and for air injectors as they are labelled up as boost I have an update engine loom not sure what it is but I know I also have a spare amplifier plug
the air injectors come from the right side looking at the car and the other one seem to go into the left bottom line is I'm not sure which one to plug in I would think it's not the air injectors as I'm not running them, so would the car run the old plug is there a way to see if the valve is working
