  • General Question - Front hub/flange

    Where can i get a new front flange with wheel bolts from,are they 4x4 cossie unique?

    Pretty sure they're still available from Ford, they fit Escort, Sierra & Granada

      Its not same on other then 4x4 Cosworth (think xr4x4 maybe same too) But ask at Ford first.

        Might have found a new one on ebay hopefully.

          Indeed, but they don't really wear out or break under normal conditions.

          The only issue is the cv joints and abs sensors welding themselves to the hub

            Whats the trick to remove the sensors Dave, Can they be removed in one peice and can you still get the sensors. ive got to remove mine to clean up the Hub Carrier and they look a bit iffy.?

              I've never successfully removed a stuck ABS sensor yet mate, it should just pull straight out with little effort so if it doesn't then it looks like it's scrap, unless you can clean the hubs up with the sensor in situ

              We are in the process of having the sensors remade and at half the price of the competition it's worth waiting until they're done

                Yes only 3door front sensor is easy to remove( havent tought about how they Are in saphs/escos but dont think they Are same), rest is shit if bad, they swell up from inside and break easy then.

                  I just kept spraying them with oil for a few nights.
                  Then carefully prised and twisted them until they came free.
